Arthur Kosieradzki Verdicts & Settlements

Shoulder Injury Stops Trucker, $410,000 settlement

Our client was driving a semi-truck on a Minnesota highway when he was rear-ended by another semi carrying a 33-ton load. The impact severely wrenched our client's right shoulder which resulted in permanent damage. Our client returned to work but was eventually forced to quit because he could not help load or unload his truck. While he eventually found another truck driving position, he suffered a cut in pay because he can't help load or unload his truck. Art Kosieradzki obtained a settlement for our client of $410,000; $35,000 was attributed to the workers’ compensation case.

Bride's Nightmare Extends Dram Shop Coverage, $100,000 settlement

Our client’s fiancé went out with friends after the groom’s dinner the night before the wedding. The fiancé later suffered permanent brain damage when a groomsman rolled his car after he was illegally served alcohol at a Little Canada bar. Art Kosieradzki argued successfully before the Minnesota Supreme Court that the Dram Shop law extended to the bride (even though her and the victim were not yet married) because she lived with him, shared household expenses, and raised a child with him. The case was settled for $100,000, the dram shop liability limits.
