Shannon C. Carey

Compassionate Advocate Dedicated to Helping Clients Find Their Path to Justice

Shannon Carey has a passion for the law that runs in the family; she's a fourth generation attorney.  Her practice focuses on representing injured individuals who've been harmed by medical providers, daycare providers, auto or motorcycle accidents, product defects or negligent home/business owners.

Shannon Carey Medical Malpractice Q & A InterviewAt the start of Shannon's legal career, she spent five years as one of the primary attorneys on a complex mass tort claim involving a large paper company in northern Minnesota effectively resolving both the property and personal injury claims for nearly 40 clients.

Since that time, Shannon and her team have successfully represented individuals and families in other complex litigations, including, but not limited to, medical malpractice, wrongful death, dram shop and catastrophic injury claims. She enjoys helping her clients understand the legal process and giving them a voice within the system.

Prior to her legal career, Shannon worked in human resources for several large corporations, including one of Minnesota's largest healthcare systems, one of the state's largest retailers and a nationally prominent insurance company.  These experiences gave her a unique understanding of large insurance companies and healthcare facilities enabling Shannon to successfully protect the rights of her clients.

Shannon is admitted to practice in the District and Federal Courts in the State of Minnesota.

During her legal career, Shannon has been recognized by her peers. In 2011, Shannon received Minnesota Lawyer's "Up and Coming Attorneys" award. This award is reserved for attorneys who have distinguished themselves during their first 10 years of practice. Shannon was one of 25 honorees chosen.

Since 2012, Shannon has been named a Rising Star in a survey by Super Lawyers Magazine. The publication asks Minnesota's top lawyers to identify an elite group of emerging lawyers, either under the age of 40 or in practice less than 10 years, who have demonstrated the highest standards of excellence. In 2013, Shannon was also chosen as "The Top Women Attorneys in Minnesota" from the women who were selected to the Minnesota Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists.
