Local brothers appear as extras on 'Boston Legal'

It wasn't just another day in court when local attorneys and brothers Harry, Mike, Bill and John Sieben did a stint as extras in Monday's episode of the ABC dramedy "Boston Legal."

The quartet, who are originally from Hastings, shot the courtroom scene a few months ago after telling Hollywood producer and former Hastings resident Trent Broin that they were big fans of the show. Broin passed along the info to a "Boston Legal" insider and soon after the Siebens were invited to make an appearance on the episode, called "Dances With Wolves." The Sieben brothers are all personal injury attorneys who practice law throughout the state.

"It was almost an art-imitating-life experience," said Harry Sieben. "Although my offices aren't nearly as dramatic."

This is the fifth and final season of the award-winning "Boston Legal," a show about the inner workings of a quirky law firm with attorneys played by actors William Shatner, James Spader and Candice Bergen. — Amy Carlson Gustafso
