Marcia Miller provides experienced appellate representation to our clients as well as clients who were represented by other attorneys at the district court level.
Marcia has legal research and writing experience in several contexts. She has written appeals in numerous areas of civil litigation. She taught Legal Research and Writing at Hamline University School of Law, has been a legal writing coach at large Minneapolis law firms, was a judicial clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and was Editor of the William Mitchell Law Review.
Marcia is admitted to the Minnesota State Bar, United States District Court, District of Minnesota, and United States Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit.
Prior to joining Sieben, Grose, Von Holtum & Carey, Marcia was the Assistant Director of the nationally ranked Health Law Institute at Hamline University School of Law. Marcia practiced appellate law at another Minneapolis law firm, and clerked for the Honorable Judges Minge, Shumaker, and Wright at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. She also worked as an attorney for Civil Society, a non-profit organization that provides free legal clinics to crime victims in the Twin Cities with a focus on supporting victims of human trafficking.
Marcia teaches as an Adjunct Professor at William Mitchell College of Law and Hamline University School of Law. She lives in St. Paul and enjoys spending time with her two teenaged sons and her Bernese Mountain Dog, Meeshka.
