Paul F. Schweiger Selected as "Attorney of the Year"

Sieben, Grose, Von Holtum & Carey partner Paul F. Schweiger has been recognized by Minnesota Lawyer as a 2010 "Attorney of the Year." This award is reserved for a select group of 25 attorneys from throughout the state who have distinguished themselves through exemplary work. Criteria for selection include leadership in the profession, procuring a successful result in an important case and public service.

This year's Attorneys of the Year will be featured in a special section in Minnesota Lawyer and during an awards dinner on February 24, 2011, at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Minneapolis.

Paul, a leading and well-known attorney in northern Minnesota, specializes in wrongful death and personal injury law. He has expertise in cases involving medical malpractice, as well as auto accidents, catastrophic personal injury and product liability. He is Managing Partner of the firm’s Duluth office.

Aside from his busy practice, he also finds time to give back to the profession and the community. He has served as past president of both the Duluth Trial Lawyers Association and the Eleventh District Bar Association. He is also certified as a civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Minnesota State Bar Association and was the first attorney in Duluth certified as a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. In the community, he has served on the Board of Directors for St. Mary’s Medical Center and the Duluth Transportation Authority and as past chairman of both the Polinsky Rehabilitation Center and the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce. He received his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and his Bachelors of Chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
