Newport Collision Causes Permanent Knee Injuries

Settlement/Verdict:

Attorney: Shannon C. Carey
Practice Area: Car Accident
Client Injury: Permanent Knee Damage

Our client was traveling southbound on Highway 61, near the Bailey Road intersection, in Newport, Minnesota. He had a green light and began to proceed through the intersection when he was struck by Defendant's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Bailey Road and had run a red light. Newport Police Officers responded to the scene. The defendant was not cited for running a red light; however, she admitted she failed to see the light. The impact was severe enough to total our client's 2004 Dodge Durango.

Our client received injuries to his right knee and broke his right pinky finger. He had arthroscopic surgery on his knee. Shannon Carey obtained a significant settlement for her client from the other driver's insurance company.
