Our client was on the job performing electrical work when he was electrocuted while removing a light fixture. He suffered second and third degree burns to his right and left hands. He also suffered from cardiac arrest, an acute brain injury, a left thumb amputation, a right thumb injury with grafting, a cervical injury, left shoulder pain, seizures and bilateral wrist problems from falling to the floor after the electrocution.

He was left with permanent work restrictions to avoid electricity, limiting his ability to work as an electrician and earn the high wage he was earning at the time of his injury. When he returned to work a year after the injury, he developed shoulder and neck pain and required additional time off. He was only able to find limited sporadic work after he was terminated from his light duty position by the company he worked for when he was injured. At 57 years of age, his only working experience was as an electrician.
