Meet John
John's Story
John Gauger is an associate attorney at SiebenCarey whose approach to the law reflects the values he learned growing up in rural Wisconsin: hard work, humility, and integrity. Life on his family's dairy farm taught him the importance of perseverance and following through on commitments. At home, he watched his mother balance raising a family as a single parent with her work as a public-school teacher. Her example showed him the importance of dedication and always making time to help others.
As the first in his family to pursue a career in law, John knows that navigating unfamiliar challenges can feel overwhelming without the right support. He brings that understanding to his work with clients, recognizing that behind every case is a person facing real challenges. John is committed to earning his clients' trust, treating them with compassion and respect, and standing by them when they need an advocate most.

From Paralegal to Attorney
Prior to becoming an Associate Attorney, John Gauger joined the SiebenCarey team as a paralegal in 2022. Working closely with seasoned attorney Jeff Sieben, he gained hands-on experience in personal injury litigation and developed a comprehensive understanding of how to build compelling cases for injured people and their families. Throughout his time at the firm, John has contributed to many complex personal injury cases, securing more than $21 million in verdicts and settlements for our clients and their families. His work includes a landmark settlement on behalf of the family of a St. Paul construction worker who tragically lost his life on the job. The worker's wife, Kristi Davis, shared:
“John tracked down every lead . . .”
“I trust him to fight for what’s right.”
John also gained valuable courtroom experience as a certified student attorney, where he wrote, argued, and won motions, succeeded in arbitration, and conducted a critical deposition of a business representative. Building on this experience, John now advocates for injured individuals and their families in a wide range of personal injury cases, including trucking and automobile accidents, wrongful death, products liability, workplace accidents, boating accidents, and other personal injury matters.
