Advocacy Rooted in Experience.
“I have seen how much a single injury or loss can impact an entire family. It is my priority to stand up for people who feel powerless and help them navigate a system that can feel overwhelming.”
Auria T.S. Gauger is a law clerk at SiebenCarey and a law student in her final semester at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. She is committed to being the voice for individuals and families navigating uncertainty, working to achieve meaningful outcomes on their behalf.
Auria’s path to the legal profession has been shaped by both her upbringing and personal experiences. Raised by two teenage parents, she learned early what it means to work hard, stay resilient, and create opportunities where none are handed to you. As a first-generation college and law student, her journey reflects determination, discipline, and a refusal to be limited by circumstance.
Her interest in personal injury law developed early and was influenced by her family’s experiences navigating both the criminal and civil justice systems, where she witnessed firsthand how legal outcomes can shape lives. Following the loss of a loved one to violence and a workplace injury involving her father, Auria’s experiences reinforced what she already understood: the system can be overwhelming, and people deserve an advocate who will not back down. Those experiences continue to drive her commitment to representing individuals and families who need a strong, steady voice in the face of complexity.
Throughout her academic and early legal career, Auria has consistently sought out opportunities to sharpen her advocacy skills and gain meaningful experience. As a Certified Student Attorney with the Dakota County Attorney’s Office, she appeared in court regularly, representing the State and handling a wide range of proceedings, including the county’s mental competency calendar. She later expanded her work in civil litigation at Storms Dworak, LLC, gaining experience in personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and civil rights matters.
Auria was also selected by Mitchell Hamline as the sole judicial extern at the Minnesota Court of Appeals in Spring 2025, working under the Honorable Keala Ede. In that role, she gained a front-row view of how appellate courts examine cases, identify key issues, and shape outcomes—an experience that further strengthened her legal analysis and deepened her understanding of how to build strong cases from the ground up.
At SiebenCarey, Auria works alongside partner Susan M. Holden, contributing to complex personal injury cases and developing her skills in trial preparation, motion practice, and case strategy. She approaches her work with focus, precision, and a clear sense of purpose, bringing both intensity and care to clients’ cases.
Outside of her legal work, Auria is passionate about supporting first-generation students, empowering women and girls, and addressing youth homelessness in her community.
She looks forward to continuing her career at SiebenCarey as an associate attorney upon passing the Minnesota Bar in 2026.Email: Auria.Gauger@Knowyourrights.comPhone: 612-333-9748
