Cory Whalen, Jeff Sieben Named to Prestigious “Power 30 Personal Injury Attorneys” by Minnesota Lawyer

Jeff Sieben and Cory Whalen, partners and shareholders here at SiebenCarey, were recently named to the 2025 Personal Injury Power List by Minnesota Lawyer, one of Minnesota’s premier legal trade journals. 

The Personal Injury Power 30 list acknowledges highly decorated and influential lawyers who represent injured people, according to Minnesota Lawyer’s selection criteria. Only those most dedicated and successful at advocating for their clients are granted such an honor. 

“I’ve said this before and I’m going to keep saying it,” Cory said when asked about the biggest challenges in personal injury law in the Power 30 interview with Minnesota Lawyer. “Lawyers need to be in person in courtrooms, in front of judges, arguing motions, trying cases, interacting with the assigned trial judge, his or her staff, and working in collaboration with opposing counsel, judges, and staff in the courtroom setting.”

This is the second consecutive year Cory was named to the Personal Injury Power 30 list, a rare accomplishment for any Minnesota lawyer.

“Through discovery and motion practice, we were recently able to develop a strong argument that a defendant had attempted to cover up the facts that led to the crushing death of a construction worker,” Jeff said when asked by Minnesota Lawyer about the most interesting case he has worked on recently. “These discoveries brought excitement to our work and caused us to work harder to prove the bad conduct.”
