Attorney Susan Holden Selected as Fellow of Elite American College of Trial Lawyers
Susan M. Holden, partner at SiebenCarey, was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), one of the premier legal organizations in North America.
“ACTL fellowship represents the pinnacle of accomplishment and professional recognition among trial lawyers in all areas of trial practice,” said Jim Carey, managing partner at SiebenCarey and also an ACTL Fellow. “Membership is by invitation only and is based on meeting the very highest standards of trial advocacy. Given all of Susan’s accomplishments, we aren’t surprised she earned this honor. We are extremely proud of her and the quality work she does on behalf of our clients.”

Holden became a fellow at an induction ceremony held by the College. An audience of 625 legal professionals attended the ceremony.
Highlights from Holden’s many other professional recognitions include memberships in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), the International Society of Barristers, the Top 50 and 100 Super Lawyers®, and Best Lawyers in America®. The Minnesota Supreme Court appointed her in 2008 to chair the Special Master Panel administering the compensation claims process for survivors of the I-35W bridge collapse. Holden served as president of Minnesota ABOTA in 2018, and president of the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) from 2005 to 2006, and was awarded the MSBA’s Professional Excellence Award in 2009 and 2023.
Holden received her J.D., Cum Laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, St. Paul., Minn., and earned her Bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, from St. Cloud State University.
